The phrase “eat healthy and live healthy” is a typical term
associated to almost all reading materials regarding health. It is
because food you eat is very important in maintaining human body
functioning. For years; trends, breakthroughs and lifestyles changes
have influenced human’s eating habits.
Today, the word diet implies several meanings. For some it means as a
process undertaken to lose unwanted fats. A dictionary of any type
defined it as an eating regimen. For medical practitioners, they use it
as a term that is indicative of supplying nutrients to your body. With

specific program or not, this word would always incorporate food and how

Nutritionists dictate that every meal must be composed of the three
food groups; go, grow and glow foods even. At a young age, these three
food groups have been taught and learned because it is highly important.
Health advocators explain that go foods such as wheat, oats and starch
are needed to keep you going. Grow foods such as meat and poultry
products on the other hand are needed to build muscles and other body
tissues. Lastly, glow food such as vegetables and fruits are necessary
for essential vitamins. However, the question still remains. What is the

you may have encountered the terms carbohydrates, proteins, fats and
energy expressed as calories. Carbohydrates are considered as the
primary energy source of the body along with fats. Proteins are utilized
as the body’s repair system and necessary for the building of muscles
and tissues. However, in rare cases, proteins are also used as an energy
source. The main reason why everything you consume has a calorie count
is because all foods contain each chemical group. The varying point that
categorized them as go, grow and glow is that they contain higher
amounts of a certain substance. For example, go foods contain high
amounts of carbohydrates compared to the other two while grow foods
contain more protein. Nonetheless, calorie intake is very important
since calories that are not utilized will be stored as fats known as
adipose tissues. This is the simple explanation why people gain weight
and unwanted fats.
For individuals trying to lose weight, your goal is to exert more
work and consume lesser calories. The only way to achieve that without
acquiring any kinds of eating disorders is to eat high amounts of glow
foods. This is for the reason that fruits and vegetables are known to
have low calories even in bulk amount. Aside from that, glow foods are
loaded with nutrients that boost not only immunity but also metabolism.
Thus, the term diet foods in the loss are given to them. Once your daily
intake of calories does not suffice the necessary amount of calories to
fuel physical activities and body functioning, adipose tissues are then
converted into energy. In cases that starvation occurs and no fats can
be converted, proteins are the last source of energy. Skin and bone body
structure is produced along with deterioration of the body. With that
being said, a well balanced diet meal is very important in keeping a
well functioning body especially in weight loss programs.
